Artist's Comments

I've always liked looking at mushrooms. There are so many dfferent kinds and they're all just really bizarre to me.

I don't think I've ever seen any like this though. If I ever did, I'd probably steer clear of them... after taking a few photos for reference.

for some reason it occurs to me that i would like to live inside one of these, were i the correct height.

but perhaps that's just the late hour and lack of sleep talking. :aww:

Meh. Just say that they're incredibly huge fungi. I mean.. They're radioactive-looking, so who's to say they're not. Then you can live in one all you want to.

And I totally understand the "lack of sleep talking" thing. :spin:

:boogie: I LOVE secondary triads.

Might i suggest coming up with the people who might possibly be able to live inside one of these? Because besides just looking cool, these mushrooms also strike me as a mighty cool environment for something.

Hmm... I'd have to think about that one.

What WOULD live in one of those things...?

mushrooms are neat.. i really like the colors you used for this..

what program did you use? PSP, CP, or PS?

also, how big do you work on your paintings, and how long did it take?

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)

Er . . . something alien? Or something that looked fungoid itself?

I used PhotoShop. Unfortunately the only version of Painter that I have is Painter "Classic." "Classic" meaning "too old and dumb to be any use to anyone."

Most of my digital stuff is done 8x10 at 300dpi. Traditional stuff... whatever size board is lying around, or whatever size is required for the class.

As far as time... this one is a little hard to judge cause I was working on it on and off yesterday. I would guess... 3-5 hours maybe.
