I've always liked looking at mushrooms. There are so many dfferent kinds and they're all just really bizarre to me.

I don't think I've ever seen any like this though. If I ever did, I'd probably steer clear of them... after taking a few photos for reference.

The purple in this peice makes the orange of the mushrooms stand out so much that it appears to be glowing. *favorite* I love bright, complementary colors.

I love the way it looks like the undersides of the mushrooms is made of neon lights. It looks like the beginning of some place that I would love to explore.

mushrooms are neat.. i really like the colors you used for this..

what program did you use? PSP, CP, or PS?

also, how big do you work on your paintings, and how long did it take?

I used PhotoShop. Unfortunately the only version of Painter that I have is Painter "Classic." "Classic" meaning "too old and dumb to be any use to anyone."

Most of my digital stuff is done 8x10 at 300dpi. Traditional stuff... whatever size board is lying around, or whatever size is required for the class.

As far as time... this one is a little hard to judge cause I was working on it on and off yesterday. I would guess... 3-5 hours maybe.

I honestly don't know any of the differences between the old versions and the new. Personally, I'd say if the differences are only fancy things like dumb plugins or something, spend your money on something different. Like a good version of Painter.

At least, if I had money, that's what _I_ would do...

Might i suggest coming up with the people who might possibly be able to live inside one of these? Because besides just looking cool, these mushrooms also strike me as a mighty cool environment for something.

Hmm... I'd have to think about that one.

What WOULD live in one of those things...?

Radioactive fairy's that throw cool dance parties around their fairy rings?

I meant fungoid: you know, like little creatures that are sort of mushroom/fungus shaped.

But the radioactive fairies thing is a cool idea.

Yeah... fungoid. Like Toad on Mario Bros. His name is Toad, isn't it? Can't remember for sure...

yeah, I think his name is toad.

But I think you could do way better than just making the people look like they have mushroom tops for hats.

for some reason it occurs to me that i would like to live inside one of these, were i the correct height.

Meh. Just say that they're incredibly huge fungi. I mean.. They're radioactive-looking, so who's to say they're not. Then you can live in one all you want to.

And I totally understand the "lack of sleep talking" thing. :spin:
